What’s Coming to Netflix This Week (May 6th – May 12th)

It’s time to look at everything on the docket for Netflix between May 6th and May 12th. We’ll be heading to hell this week with the long-anticipated return of Lucifer plus plenty of other titles to look forward to as well. Here’s your full look at what’s coming to Netflix this week.
Let’s run through some of the highlights before taking a look at the full list of upcoming titles. Don’t forget, there are plenty more titles on the way in May plus we’re also documenting the Originals coming in June and July.

Lucifer (Season 4) Netflix Original Series
Release Date: May 8th
Most of Netflix’s marketing efforts are going to be spent on promoting its revival of the FOX series and rightly so. The series has a massive audience which Netflix helps to build on with the return of Lucifer.
Season 4 continues (albeit in a slightly different format) the story of the bored Lord of Hell who came to Earth to help the LAPD punish criminals.
Queen of the South (Season 3)
Release Date: May 7th
USA Network’s Queen of the South continues to go from strength to strength with Alice Barga who plays the drug lord continuing to shine in the role.
Season 3 contains another 13 episodes and the good news is that season 4 kickstarts on USA Network in a matter of months too.
Insidious (2010)
Release date: May 9th
Looking for a horror movie this week? Insidious is for you. It’s not the first time Netflix has streamed Insidious but it’s certainly a welcome return.
The movie follows a family who are trying to stop evil spirits from trapping them.
POSE (Season 1)
Release Date: May 10th
Netflix has somehow managed to scoop the streaming rights up to the FX series, Pose. The moody series takes place in the late 1980s and is produced by Ryan Murphy who happens to be producing multiple projects for Netflix in the future.
Season 2 is due out in June on FX.
Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj (Volume 3 – Episode 1) Netflix Original
Release Date: May 12th
Netflix’s weekly talk show that’s the streaming platforms equivalent of HBO’s Last Week Tonight returns on Sunday. Expect more cutting commentary and insight on today’s pressing issues.
